Hartley inspects the boxes. |
We quickly found the hotel as its about a 7 minute drive from the airport. With the number of boxes in our group we required one return trip to get everyone over to the hotel so I went back and grabbed both Will and Michi's 2nd airplane box. It all worked out nicely as we got checked in and sorted in our small but clean rooms. This will be our home for the event. We met up with USA Team Manager Mark Atwood and got our packs from Thunderpower. Don and Joseph Szczur also arrived and we got reintroduced.
Starting to unpack. We simply treat it like a cruise ship cabin:-) |
Both Chad and Agnes, along with Ethan and Colin headed north to the MG Zurich field to get a few rounds in. Both Michi and I elected to skip this as we didn't feel we would benefit in our present state of fatigue. They met up with the Australian Team and managed to avoid the wasps that seem to own the place. Ask Glenn O :-)
Several of us headed into town in search of some portable chairs but that did not turn out well... Went to every Co-op in town and outdoor store... may need some help from the organizers on this! :-)
Each team member managed to get one airframe put together for tomorrows practice session at MG Zurich. Looking forward to it almost as much as my bed right now! I'll spell check in the morning. Good Night all
Added the USA Team Blog and pictures to the side bar lists.
Note: OMG!!... Edited for clarity and major sleep induced errors.
